THE WAITING GAME: Will North Korea Strike the South?

World-wide tensions are rising as North Korea amps up it's campaign and continues threats of Nuclear strikes against  South Korea and Japan, while at the same time promoting through its propoganda an already happening attack on the U.S.

The World is a scary place to be in as citizens hold their breath each day, wondering if imminent nuclear War is about to break out on a Global Scale.

North Korea have advised they have nuclear missiles in place aimed at the city of Seoul in the South as well as targeting the country of Japan. United Nations are stating that the North are no where near developing the technology of placing a nuclear device small enough to fit into a missile warhead, however in a statement made yesterday by the U.S - they may be wrong and have underestimated their capabilities.

Japan have advised they are leaving nothing to chance, and are armed and ready to disappate missiles 'if' launched and will do all in its power, to protect its people.

The U.S who are an allie of South Korea have visited the country today and have sent a 'strong' message to the North of support to the South - and is urging China - an ally of the North to step in and assist in influencing North Korea to stop the threats and find a peaceful resolution.

Personally - I'm just not sure what to believe.

It's scary - The possibilities of what could happen are endless.

If the North bombs the South - then it is sure thing that their Allies the U.S will step in. Does the U.S really have the technology to come up against a 1.2 million strong army and do they really know the true advancements North Korea have made in the way of their nuclear technology?

If the U.S then becomes involved - Does that mean that Australia as an Allie of the U.S have an obligation to become involved too? If so - surely this will make us a target of the North if they do indeed possess the technology they claim to have.

If North Korea bombs Japan what could this mean? After the Tokyo earthquakes of 2012 it is obvious that a large nuclear reactor located within the country has the possibility of becoming unstable as it did after the earthquake. Have the Japanese completely repaired the damage that occurred? If they were bombed, could it amplify the affect it would have and damage the Earth's atmosphere beyond repair? It's a very frightening thought....
